On Monday, Turkish drones struck four locations in Qamishli, northeastern Syria. Reports indicate that the bombardment occurred near the Sadkob facility in the Zaitouniya neighborhood along the northern belt near the Nusaybin crossing. The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that its air forces neutralized 26 Kurdish militants in strikes in Syria and Iraq in response to the deaths of soldiers earlier in the week. Authorities have also arrested dozens of opposition officials supportive of the Kurds. The ministry reported that 12 Turkish soldiers were killed in a clash with the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, prompting Ankara to carry out a series of airstrikes and operations in the region.
