The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed its condemnation and sorrow over the recent attack on American individuals present at the Jordanian border, which resulted in the loss of several lives and injuries. The ministry stated that such acts constitute a violation of the security and sovereignty of the brotherly Jordan and lead to serious escalation and tension in the region due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the ministry expressed its solidarity with Jordan and supported the measures taken by the Jordanian authorities to ensure their security and stability. The ministry called on all influential parties to intensify efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and to halt the escalation and tension by means of an "immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories, as a step toward a political solution based on the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions."
