China: Deployment of Indian Forces on the Border "Will Not Ease Tensions"

A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted today, during a regular press conference, that "China believes that India's move to deploy more troops to the border, disputed between the two countries, does not lead to a reduction in tensions." According to several media reports, the Indian government has deployed a division of 10,000 soldiers, which was previously stationed on its western border, to reinforce its disputed border with China. The two countries had previously agreed to continue dialogue through military and diplomatic channels.
