Israeli Minister: Global Pressure on Iran and Hezbollah Needed to Withdraw from Southern Lebanon

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated during the Munich Security Conference on Friday that "Israel has no plans to expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip." Katz added, "We have no intention of expelling any Palestinian from Gaza," and that "Israel does not want to govern Gaza after it concludes its war against the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) that administers the territory." The Israeli Foreign Minister declared that "Israel will have to push the armed Hezbollah group away from the borders in southern Lebanon if efforts to reach a diplomatic solution to ease tensions fail." Katz continued: "The world must put pressure on Iran and Hezbollah to withdraw from southern Lebanon and implement UN Resolution 1701."
