Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani during the "Munich Security Conference" in Germany. The discussion focused on the situation in Lebanon and the work of the "five-member committee" to help resolve the vacancy in the presidency. The talks also addressed the situation in southern Lebanon and ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza. Prime Minister Mikati also met with his Iraqi counterpart Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani and expressed gratitude to Iraq for its "steadfast support for Lebanon."
