The Emergency Committee of the Gaza Municipality has appealed for the provision of necessary equipment and fuel. A member of the Emergency Committee stated that "70,000 tons of waste are accumulated in the city of Gaza, while a million square meters of roads have been destroyed in the city." Regarding food, he confirmed that "the food aid that has arrived is important but does not meet the needs of the citizens." He pointed out that "the groundwater supply in Gaza is in a dangerous situation," and that "there will be casualties from thirst within the Gaza Municipality."
