Beirut's New Date with the Music Festival Next Week

The Music Festival in Beirut will kick off its twenty-third edition next Friday, organized annually by the French Institute in Lebanon. It includes a series of artistic events across various locations in the country. The program, running from June 16 to June 24, features 50 concerts in historical sites, public squares, and cultural and artistic centers in 11 Lebanese cities and towns.

The French Institute in Lebanon stated in a press release that this twenty-third edition gives special attention to emerging musical creatives in Lebanon by organizing the "Starting Point" competition for young bands from all over Lebanon.

The festival will begin with a concert on June 16 at 5 PM in the outdoor courtyard of "Forum de Beyrouth," showcasing performances by the Lebanese group Jo Britzel, musician Tamara Qadoumi and her band from Lebanon, singer Julia Jean-Baptiste from France, and the musical duo Atom from France.

The remaining concerts will take place in the cities and towns of Akkar, Ehden, Tripoli, Jbeil, Deir el-Qamar, Zahle, Baalbek, Sidon, Tyre, Nabatieh, and Beirut.

On June 24, the band "Blue Beirut" and Lebanese singer Adam Zaftaoui will conclude the artistic events in the city of Tyre, coinciding with another concert held in Beirut.
