The Lebanese Fencing Federation participated in two international activities: a friendly saber fencing tournament in Russia and the World Championships for cadets and juniors in Bulgaria.
The Lebanese men's saber team returned from Kazan, Russia, where they participated in an international friendly tournament organized by the Russian Fencing Federation, featuring various countries. The team included Ziad Al-Jalbout, Roudy Asber, and Mohammad Hamza, who achieved acceptable results despite strong competition from Russian fencers and others. The Lebanese Federation decided to participate in this tournament to reinforce the strong friendship between the Lebanese and Russian Fencing Federations and in solidarity with Russian fencers who had been deprived of international competitions.
Additionally, the Lebanese fencing team returned from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where they participated in the World Championships for cadets (under 17) and juniors (under 20). The team consisted of coach Rita Abou Jaoude and fencers Ghadi Al-Shamali in junior saber, Hadi Dakash in cadet saber, and sisters Zakia and Elissa Shreim in cadet and junior saber. However, Zakia Shreim in the junior category and Elissa Shreim in the cadet category withdrew from the group stage because they were placed in a group with an "Israeli" fencer and adhered to their decision to boycott playing against Israelis. The participation aimed to gain experience for young players and is part of the federation's plans to develop the new generation of Lebanese fencers.
