Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian disclosed to his Pakistani counterpart in a phone call that the government was not aware of the strikes carried out by the Revolutionary Guard against its neighbor, nor of the plan, according to Iran International. Abdollahian confirmed that the Revolutionary Guard acted without informing him. Meanwhile, Pakistani Foreign Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar emphasized his country's readiness to work together on all issues based on mutual trust and cooperation. He also announced Islamabad's willingness to collaborate with Tehran on all matters. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani stated Thursday that Iran strongly condemns the Pakistani strikes and requests explanations. In response, Islamabad has hinted at further actions should Iran take reckless actions. A senior Pakistani security official stated that the military is on alert to respond to any misadventure from Iran.
