Washington announced today, Thursday, that a U.S. Navy ship "seized an advanced conventional arms shipment and lethal aid originating from Iran, headed to areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen." The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated in a post on "X" accompanied by photos that the shipment was seized "in the Arabian Sea on January 28."
**Details of the Shipment**
The shipment included "more than 200 packages containing components for medium-range ballistic missiles, explosives, components for unmanned maritime drones, communication equipment and military networks, anti-tank guided missile launcher kits, and other military components," according to the statement.
**"Another Example of Iran's Malicious Activity"**
The statement quoted U.S. Central Command leader, General Michael Eric Kurilla, saying that "this is another example of Iran's malign activity in the region."
