The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation reported that on 3/7/2024, a military force at the Reefa checkpoint in Tripoli apprehended a Palestinian (A.A.) for possessing an unlicensed firearm. Following this arrest, another Palestinian (M.K.) fired shots at the checkpoint, prompting the army personnel to respond in kind, resulting in the shooter being injured. He was arrested and transported to a hospital for treatment. The confiscated items were handed over, and investigations with the detained individuals have begun under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
