On the fifth day of the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Israel released 30 Palestinians (including women and children) from Ofer Prison, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement. Child Ahmad Slaimeh, who was released, stated that he had been arrested four months ago and had been prohibited from seeing his parents despite not yet being 14 years old. He spoke about his prison experience, saying, "On October 7th, we heard voices coming from the women's prison where they were being mistreated in retaliation."
For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners and Released Prisoners Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners Club published the names of the fifth batch of the prisoner exchange deal, who will be released later today, Tuesday. The list included 15 female prisoners and 15 minor children, totaling 30, as part of the ceasefire agreement. The Israeli Prison Service announced that they released 30 Palestinians late on Tuesday in the fifth exchange deal under the ceasefire agreement with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza. The Prison Service stated in a press release that the 30 Palestinians were released from Ofer Prison near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank and from a detention center in Jerusalem.
