The Ministry of Youth and Sports has set Thursday, March 7th, at 5 PM as the date for the closing ceremony of "Beirut, Capital of Arab Youth 2023". The event will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Middle East Airlines conference hall. Distinguished Arab figures, the Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports Council, the Arab League, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), and the Arab Volunteer Federation have been invited.
The closing ceremony will coincide with the final activity in the "capital" agenda, which is the "Beirut Volunteer Award." The organizing committee has received 81 initiatives from young men and women from 11 Arab countries for participation. A specialized judging committee has selected the best 12 initiatives, and their creators will be hosted from March 5 to 8 in Beirut to discuss them with the committee to determine the three winners, who will also attend the closing ceremony.
Over the past months, the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized four consecutive activities under the "Beirut, Capital of Arab Youth 2023" initiative, supervised by the Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports Council and the Arab League. These activities catered to youth and included the "Arab Forum for Economic and Social Empowerment," "Discover Lebanon Program," "Sixth Arab Forum for Youth Tourism," and "Arab Scouting Forum," where youth participation often exceeded expectations, reaching up to 16 countries at times.
