The Sultanate of Oman expressed its welcome for the decision made by the United Nations General Assembly concerning the adoption of international measures to combat the phenomenon of hatred towards Islam and Muslims, and the appointment of a special international envoy for the United Nations to combat "Islamophobia." In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, Saturday, Oman emphasized its position advocating the importance of establishing values of peaceful coexistence and tolerance among individuals of different religions, as well as the necessity of criminalizing all acts that incite hatred and conflict between religions and cultures and that harm them.
