Qatar Refuses to Comment on Biden's Statements Regarding Ceasefire in Gaza

A spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday that Qatar cannot comment on U.S. President Joe Biden's statement regarding the possibility of an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to reach a ceasefire next week. Majid Al-Ansari mentioned in a press conference that there is no breakthrough to announce regarding the ceasefire agreement or the hostages, but Qatar is "pressing strongly" for approval of the agreement proposed in Paris between Hamas and Israel. He added that Qatar is optimistic about the mediation talks concerning Gaza.
