Ukraine Claims to Have Shot Down 14 Out of 15 Drones Launched by Russia Overnight

The Ukrainian military stated on Sunday that Russia launched 15 drones at Ukraine, mainly in the southern regions of the country overnight, and that air defenses destroyed 14 of these drones. The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram, "As a result of the aerial confrontation, the Air Forces and defense forces destroyed 14 Shahed drones in the Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Khmelnytsky regions." It was added that the drones were launched from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov in Russia. Reuters was unable to independently verify the report. No immediate comment was provided by Moscow.
