In celebration of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Jezzine Municipality is organizing its annual festival. A mass will be held at the Lady Church on August 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM, followed by a religious procession through the city streets, ending at Maabour-Jezzine entrance, and culminating with a free concert near the municipal palace building.
Hence, traffic inside the city will be rerouted from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM on the date mentioned as follows:
Traffic heading from the city of Sidon toward Jezzine will be diverted starting from Daher Al-Ramleh toward Haitoura – Ain Al-Taghra locality (behind Jezzine Government Serail) through the Shakharib neighborhood, reaching Jezzine Square.
Traffic heading from the town of Kfar Houneh towards Sidon will be diverted behind the Monastery of Saint Anthony in Jezzine, then to Restaurant Street, reaching Maabour – the main road towards Sidon.
Citizens are requested to take note and comply with the instructions and guidance of the Internal Security Forces and the road signage installed in the area to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
