The Iraqi Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee stated that attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq will end with the conclusion of the Gaza war, noting that the "only losers" in this conflict are the Iraqis. Committee member Latif al-Warshan told "Baghdad Today" that "the attacks targeting American forces with missiles and drones are directly related to what is happening in Gaza, especially since the armed factions have issued multiple threats and warnings regarding this matter." Al-Warshan added that "everyone does not want Iraq to turn into a battleground for any international or regional conflict, as everyone is well aware that turning Iraq into an arena of conflict would result in only the Iraqis being the losers, and we believe that the attacks on the Americans are temporary and linked to the events in Gaza; after the war in Gaza ends, these attacks will cease."
Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah had described the decision by Iraqi resistance factions to target U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria as a "brave, wise, and commendable decision," highlighting the importance of the operations carried out by Iraqi armed factions against U.S. forces both within and outside the country. Last Thursday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced targeting a "vital" Israeli site in the Dead Sea, marking a new development and expansion of the conflict zone.
