The semi-official Tasnim agency reported today, Sunday, that Iranian leader Ali Khamenei stated that Islamic countries should "cut political relations with Israel for at least a limited period." This came after weeks of his call to impose a ban on supplying oil and food to Israel from Islamic countries. Khamenei said, "Some Islamic governments condemned the Israeli crimes in their gatherings, while others did not. This is unacceptable." He reiterated that Islamic governments should not send energy supplies and goods to Israel. He affirmed that "the Israeli regime has failed to destroy Hamas and the resistance after more than 40 days of war." Khamenei made these statements during his presence at an exhibition of achievements by the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, including the Fattah 2 missile, which is said to be a new version of what is claimed to be Iran's first hypersonic missile. Iran revealed what it said was the first domestically produced hypersonic missile in June, indicating it is capable of overcoming advanced ballistic missile defense systems in the United States and Israel.
