A patrol from the French contingent of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) entered residential areas in the Sahl al-Khan region of Tabbîn, which led to discontent among some residents. They obstructed the patrol's path without causing harm to the personnel. A military intelligence patrol later arrived and escorted the contingent back to the main road.
