UNICEF Representative in Lebanon Confirms Continued Support for Palestinian Refugees in Camps

The UNICEF representative in Lebanon, Edward Begbie, affirmed, following his meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Ashraf Dabbour, the "continuation of UNICEF's support for Palestinian refugees in the Palestinian camps." He emphasized "coordination with the Embassy of the State of Palestine, the Lebanese government, and UNRWA, and making efforts to mobilize resources in light of the difficult and exceptional circumstances facing the region." For his part, Dabbour praised "UNICEF's efforts to alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian refugee population in Lebanon," reiterating the "legitimate rights of the Palestinian people as guaranteed by international laws and agreements to self-determination."
