Opening of the Backgammon and Rami Championship

The Minister of Youth and Sports, George Klas, represented by the Acting Head of the Planning and Informatics Department, Engineer Hamza Hamieh, sponsored the open championship in backgammon and rami organized by the Lebanese Federation for Heritage and Traditional Popular Sports at the L'auberge des Emirs Hotel in Deir El Qamar. Hamieh conveyed Minister Klas's message regarding the importance of such championships that require mental activity, and praised the Federation's role in organizing them as they are linked to cultural and sporting heritage. He affirmed the ministry's constant commitment to keeping up with the aspirations of the youth and concluded by wishing good luck to all the participating players in the championship.
