The U.S. House of Representatives has voted for the third time to end the war with Iran by passing a resolution under the War Powers Act, which would prevent President Donald Trump from continuing military actions without congressional approval.
The vote, conducted late Tuesday night, concluded with 220 votes in favor and 204 against, mirroring previous attempts this summer. A slightly larger number of Republicans joined all Democrats in supporting an end to the conflict.
None of these resolutions have reached the President's desk, as it is highly likely that Trump would veto the decision.
