Abdullahian Meets Haniyeh: America Responsible for What is Happening in Gaza

During a meeting in Doha with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian stated that everyone in the White House is striving to exit the war with dignity through politics and to save Israel from this "strategic failure." Abdullahian pointed to the dimensions and details of Iran's latest diplomatic efforts "to support the Palestinian people and stop the war crimes being committed by the Zionist entity against Gaza," emphasizing that "today, no one doubts that the resistance and the Palestinian people, despite enduring much pain and suffering and the loss of over 20,000 martyrs in the past 75 days, have triumphed with their strength and will against the Zionist killing machine."

Abdullahian condemned "the comprehensive and unlimited support provided by the United States to the Zionist entity in the current war against Gaza," asserting the legal and international responsibility of the United States for war crimes and genocide against the Palestinians. He referred to some political efforts and messages from the U.S. government aimed at finding a way out of the deadlock and military strategic failure, stating, "America's realization that war is not the solution is a major shift, and it is better for them to stop their absurd and defeated support of the crazy military occupation strategy as soon as possible."

For his part, Haniyeh explained the latest situation regarding the war in Gaza and discussed the efforts, consultations, and movements of the political resistance "to end the Zionist entity's brutal aggression against Gaza and the West Bank with the aim of reaching a sustainable ceasefire, completely lifting the blockade, and sending extensive humanitarian aid to the citizens."

Ismail Haniyeh said, "After 75 days since the beginning of the Zionist entity's destructive war on Gaza and its unprecedented crimes against the Palestinian people and citizens, despite the many martyrs, the resistance remains strong and in a brilliant and distinguished state." He noted that "Israel claimed it had taken control of northern Gaza, but now the resistance is present and resisting in all areas of northern Gaza."
