Ayoub: We Proposed Amending the 125,000 Lira Allowance for Actual Employees at "Electricity of Lebanon"

Member of the "Strong Republic" bloc, MP Ghada Ayoub, tweeted: "Our proposal was to amend the previously set 125,000 L.L. allowance based on clear criteria that correspond to the increase in the electricity consumption tariff for actual employees at the Electricity of Lebanon institution." She clarified, "For the state to enact reforms, it requires changing the current approach to public affairs and finding solutions based on specific criteria and foundations. The policy of piecemeal reductions has not adhered to the law, regardless of the backgrounds of those decisions." She continued, "It is necessary to find a solution that respects legal frameworks, which is the approach we adopt in our dealings in a reformist and legal manner, and out of our commitment to preserving the achievements of actual employees at the Electricity of Lebanon institution."
