Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira of Zamalek responded to rumors regarding his collapse on the field of Cairo Stadium during the match between the White Knight and Chad's Elect. There were reports that Ferreira fainted next to the substitute bench during the game, which Zamalek won 2-0.

After the match, Ferreira stated: "There were some items on the pitch, and a disruption occurred while I was standing." He added, "But I am still young, and my fitness helps me avoid falling and harming myself." He further explained, "I managed to brace myself to avoid any harm or damage."

Ferreira continued: "I heard that some people said I fainted, and there were also some rumors about me previously. I will continue with you for a long time, and if something were to happen to me, I wouldn’t be at the press conference." He concluded: "As long as I am able, I am committed to Zamalek, and I will fight and not give up; no one should worry whenever I fall."
