Brighton & Hove Albion, competing in the English Premier League, announced today, Saturday, that they have signed Argentine under-23 player Valentín Parco, who is capable of playing in multiple positions, from Boca Juniors on a contract lasting four and a half years. Parco (19 years old) started in 18 matches in the Argentine league with Boca last year and appeared nine times during the team's run in the Copa Libertadores, including the final match. David Weir, the technical director at Brighton, said, "He mostly plays on the left side as a full-back or wing-back or winger, but he has also shown versatility with Boca and has played in midfield positions." Parco is currently playing with the Argentine national team in the South American qualifiers in Venezuela for the Olympic Games. The qualifiers conclude on February 11th.
