The Lebanese beach volleyball team, composed of players Omar Abi Karam and Hadi Shbeib, coached by national coach William Asmar, achieved a valuable victory by defeating the Japanese team two sets to one in a match that took place at five in the morning Beirut time, within the Under-21 Asian Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand. With this victory, the Lebanese team secured the second position in their group, advancing to the Round of 16.
After five hours, at ten in the morning Beirut time, the Cedars team claimed their second victory, overcoming the Malaysian team with a score of 2-0, which led them to the quarterfinals where they will face the Kazakh team. If they win, Lebanon will progress to the semifinals, thus securing the country's qualification for the World Championship.
