International Monetary Fund Opens Regional Office in Riyadh

The International Monetary Fund announced today, Wednesday, that it will open a new regional office in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in an effort to strengthen partnerships with governments and institutions in the Middle East and other regions. The statement added that Abdou Aziz Wane, a Senegalese national, has been appointed as the first director of the regional office. The Saudi cabinet approved an agreement to establish the IMF regional office in the country in March.
