Ministry of Agriculture Confirms Compliance of Egyptian Potato Shipment at Tripoli Port

The Ministry of Agriculture announced, in a statement, that "as part of its commitment to the quality of imported agricultural products and their compliance with specifications, an inspection was conducted on March 14, 2024, on a ship coming from the Arab Republic of Egypt at Tripoli Port, carrying fresh potatoes prepared for table use and packaged in sacks." It noted that "this inspection was conducted to ensure adherence to the standards set by the Ministry of Agriculture for importing Egyptian potatoes in 2024, based on regulatory decisions issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. The inspection was participated in by: Head of the Northern Lebanon Agricultural Department, Engineer Sonia Al-Abyad; Head of the Agricultural Import and Export Department, Engineer Rania Al-Hayek; Head of Akkar Agricultural Department, Mr. Taha Mustafa; Head of the Agricultural Quarantine Center at Tripoli Port, Engineer Michel Deb; and Agricultural Technical Assistant Bilal Raad. It was found that the product complies with the specifications and conditions set by the Ministry of Agriculture."
