Iranian Attack on Israel

U.S. officials believe that a potential Iranian attack on Israel could occur in the "next few hours." CBS News reported today, Friday, that "estimates in the United States indicate that the Iranian attack on Israel is expected to happen today." Two U.S. officials disclosed to CBS News: "A significant Iranian attack against Israel is anticipated on Friday, possibly involving more than 100 drones and dozens of missiles." The officials expect the attack to target "military objectives" within Israel. They added: "It will be difficult for the Israelis to fend off an attack of this magnitude," suggesting that the Iranians might ultimately choose to launch a "smaller attack" to avoid escalation. Iranian media also reported that a report stated that "the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is directing long-range 'ground-to-ground' missiles towards Palestinian territories." Additionally, it was noted: "The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has informed the United States and some countries about the sites that will be targeted in advance to take necessary precautions in Israel."
