The "Tajaddod" bloc addressed caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, stating: "Mr. Prime Minister Mikati, the objection to your positions—where you provided cover from your position as Prime Minister for the equation of unified arenas—is not a matter of competition but rather a correction and a warning about the dangers of merging with the project of turning Lebanon once again into a bargaining chip for the resistance project."
It added in a statement: "Those who criticized your position ask about the solutions proposed, and the answer is that what is needed is to task the army with taking responsibility for the borders in accordance with the constitution, and to declare commitment to Resolution 1701 without ambiguity and without linking Lebanon's file to the war on Gaza. By doing this, Mr. Prime Minister, you would have restored the sovereign decision that you have publicly stated your government does not possess and removed legitimacy from any approach that could expose Lebanon to war, confronting the Israeli threats to Lebanon."
It continued: "We have sincerely called upon you and still urge you to play this role to protect Lebanon and its people, safeguarding the entity and the state, and the time has not yet passed."
