Missile Falls Near Eilat Launched from Yemen

A long-range missile launched from Yemen fell in an open area near Eilat without being detected or triggering warning sirens. The Israeli military stated that it is investigating the cause of the failure in the detection and interception systems near Eilat. Security cameras at the entrance of the city captured the missile that fell in Eilat.

Earlier on Tuesday, Houthi spokesman Yahya Sarie announced that the area of Eilat in Israel was targeted with "a number of cruise missiles." He also mentioned that they targeted "the American vessel Madu in the Red Sea with a number of suitable naval missiles." The Houthis in Yemen have carried out a series of drone and missile attacks on Israel since the onset of the conflict between Israel and Hamas on October 7, with most of these attacks failing to reach their targets and often being intercepted.
