White House: Talks on Potential Hostage Deal in Gaza Ongoing

The White House stated today, Wednesday, that "discussions aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip regarding the release of hostages are ongoing, and Israel and Hamas have come close enough to reaching an agreement that allows them to bridge the gaps in their positions." White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mentioned in a press briefing aboard Air Force One while President Joe Biden was en route to Wisconsin that "the president has confidence in his team that is aiding in the negotiations."
