The Hebrew website "Walla" reported that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated, "There has been progress in the proposal to introduce an armed Arab force into the Gaza Strip, supported by the United States, which will be responsible for distributing and securing aid." Gallant informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that "during his visit to Washington, he made progress in bringing a multinational force to Gaza from three Arab countries - and it will be armed." Axios reported from an Arab official: "We might consider sending peacekeeping forces to Gaza after the war."
Politico noted that the Pentagon is exploring the potential financing of a multinational inspection force or a Palestinian inspection force in Gaza. As part of the discussions, the plan is for the force to be composed of Arab countries that have ties with Israel and will be responsible for distributing humanitarian aid and securing the new port. The force, which is expected to be armed and funded by the United States, will not include Saudi or Qatari forces. It was agreed in the meetings that progress on the plan should also encompass progress on the post-war plan.
