Abdollahian Confirms the Safe Return of Syrian Refugees

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stated that "the military presence in Syria will not help establish security in it or in the region," emphasizing "the necessity of the safe return of Syrian refugees." In a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, he noted that "regional and international developments were discussed, and we confirmed the importance of achieving stability and security in the region away from foreign interventions." He announced that "agreements were made on trade transactions using the national currency of both countries." Abdollahian condemned "the repeated aggressions by Israel against Syria, asserting that this entity is the main source of instability and insecurity in the region."
