Putin Approves Withdrawal of Russian Troops from Armenian Areas

Russian news agency Interfax reported that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated today, Thursday, that "President Vladimir Putin has approved the withdrawal of Russian troops and border guards from various areas in Armenia." Peskov added that Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reached an agreement on this matter during a meeting. Interfax mentioned that the Russian border guards will remain on Armenia's borders with Turkey and Iran, at Yerevan's request.
