Chinese Nightmare Threatening the United States

Experts in hacking and cybersecurity have warned of a massive threat posed by the Chinese hacking system "Volt Typhoon" to American infrastructure. Former member of the UK's Cyber Security Advisory Board, Daniel Cuthbert, stated that the "Volt Typhoon" hacking system is larger than anything China has launched before. The U.S. government indicated that "Volt Typhoon" is designed to cripple American computer systems if the United States and China go to war. On January 31, FBI Director Christopher Wray stated during a Congressional hearing that "Volt Typhoon is the defining threat of our generation." Cuthbert pointed out to Newsweek that "Volt Typhoon, in essence, is a campaign — albeit a very large one — conducted by Chinese state actors actively seeking access to industrial control systems and other critical national infrastructure." China's recent attempt to infiltrate U.S. infrastructure has shocked the cybersecurity industry, according to Daniel Cuthbert, a former expert on the UK's Cyber Security Board.
