The Yemeni Houthi group announced today, Saturday, that "the Houthis launched missiles at the British oil tanker Bullox in the Red Sea," which U.S. officials said on Friday had been hit by a missile attack. The U.S. State Department mentioned on Friday that "the Panamanian-flagged tanker Bullox, carrying crude oil, was attacked by a missile in the Red Sea while on its way to India." The military spokesperson for the Houthi group, Sihsi Raqi, stated in a message today that "the naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces executed a targeted operation against the British oil ship (Bullox) in the Red Sea using a large number of appropriate naval missiles, and the hit was precise and direct thanks to God." The Houthis have been carrying out repeated attacks with drones and missiles on international commercial vessels in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait since mid-November.
