Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Genocide is Real and International Positions are Symbolic

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement today, Monday, that "the genocide in Gaza is real, and that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's repeated defiance of international positions by invading Rafah aims to impose displacement on the residents of the Gaza Strip." The ministry said, "Netanyahu continues to deepen the paths of genocide and displacement against our people in Gaza, without responding to any of the international demands or appeals, nor showing any concern for them."

It added, "Despite the international consensus on protecting civilians and facilitating the delivery of aid through all available means—sea, land, and air—Netanyahu continues to deepen the paths of genocide and displacement against our people in Gaza for the 171st consecutive day, without changing anything in this regard, or responding to any international demands or appeals, nor showing any concern for them."

The ministry continued, "Netanyahu's repeated defiance of international stances through the invasion of Rafah, amid the gradual escalation of bombardment of houses in the city, as occurred in the last 24 hours with the destruction of 5 houses, has resulted in over 30 martyrs, dozens of wounded, and missing individuals, deepening starvation and thirst, and using food and water as weapons in this genocide, aims to impose displacement on its residents."

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that "genocide is real and displacement is imminent."
