The Mayor of Istanbul announced that "a fire broke out, claiming the lives of 15 people during repair work at a nightclub in the city center." Reports indicate "a large number of injuries, with about 7 of them being serious, in a major fire at the 16-story center in the Şişli area of central Istanbul." Efforts to control the fire are still ongoing by the authorities, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
