Former Knesset member Yael Dayan, a member of the "Labor Party," passed away at the age of 85 on Saturday after a long battle with illness, according to Israeli media reports. Dayan, the daughter of former Defense Minister Moshe Dayan, served as a Knesset member from 1993 to 2003. She had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for decades, a condition resulting from long-term smoking. Moshe Dayan held positions as the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, as well as Minister of Defense, Agriculture, and Foreign Affairs.
