The town of Khiam was subjected to intense airstrikes from Israeli warplanes past midnight, accompanied by concentrated shelling with phosphorus bombs. The "Islamic Resistance" announced in a statement that "in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their valiant and honorable resistance, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted an Israeli enemy force at 12:05 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, during their attempt to retrieve the military vehicle that was targeted yesterday at the Moutila site with appropriate weapons, inflicting confirmed casualties."

Additionally, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft intensified their flights at night until the early morning hours over the villages of Tyre District, the northern coast, and over the villages of the western sector, while the Israeli army launched flare bombs over the border villages adjacent to the blue line. Throughout the early hours, gunfire was reported from the Israeli army position in Birkat Risha and other sites near the blue line in both the western and central sectors.

On another note, the Israeli army reported that its fighter planes struck Hezbollah targets in the town of Khiam in southern Lebanon, including infrastructure and military buildings. It was announced that two Hezbollah members were killed near the Kfar Kila area.

Hezbollah mourns "Abu Zahra." Today, Thursday, the Islamic Resistance, Hezbollah, issued a statement saying: "With great pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance mourns the martyr, fighter Muhammad Jamil al-Shami 'Abu Zahra,' born in 1982 from the town of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon, who ascended as a martyr on the road to Jerusalem."
