Iran: The United States is Ineligible to Play a Role in Ceasefire in Gaza

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated today, Monday, that "security and stability will not be achieved in our region unless the occupation of Palestinian territories ends," emphasizing that "the Zionist entity is the primary source of security destabilization in the region and will not be a party to any peace agreement." The Iranian Foreign Ministry claimed that "the United States is ineligible to play a role in the ceasefire in Gaza, and any decision regarding the future of Palestine must be made by the Palestinian people themselves."

It stressed that "U.S. and British support for the Zionist entity has led to the current war in Gaza," adding that "Washington and London must stop sending weapons to the Zionist entity and pressure it to cease fire."

On another note, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani expressed his country's strong condemnation of "the arbitrary actions of the U.S. in dealing with university students." He observed that what is happening in American universities "reflects the awakening of the international community regarding the Palestinian issue and hatred towards the occupation," stating: "The free people of the world cannot tolerate what is happening in Gaza, and their voice will not be extinguished." Kanaani called on U.S. authorities to allow marches supporting Palestine.
