The Iraqi Border Forces Command announced today, Saturday, the arrest of seven travelers in possession of drugs in three provinces. The command stated in a statement that "as part of the efforts of the Border Forces Command to prevent the entry of drugs, and through separate operations, the police stations at the Shalamcheh, Mundhiriya, and Zurbatiyah border crossings, which are part of the third and fourth border police directorates, managed to apprehend six foreign travelers and one Iraqi traveler with drugs including methadone, crystal, marijuana, and opium in Diyala, Wasit, and Basra." It added that "all the accused and the seized substances have been referred to the judiciary."
