AFC President Completes Visit to Lebanon

The President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, visited Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail, accompanied by the AFC Vice President and President of the Lebanese Football Federation, Mr. Hashem Haidar, AFC Deputy Secretary-General Waheed Kordani, and Lebanese Federation Executive Committee Vice Presidents Raymond Samhan and Mahmoud Arba. The AFC President discussed matters concerning Lebanese and Asian football with Mikati, as well as the cooperation program with the Lebanese Football Federation. Sheikh Salman also presented a commemorative shield to President Mikati.

Following the visit, Lebanese Football Federation President Mr. Hashem Haidar hosted a lunch in honor of the AFC President, attended by Executive Committee members: Vice President Mahmoud Arba, and Executive Committee members Asaad Sblini and Wael Shebib. Also present were club presidents: Al Ahed Club President Tameem Suleiman, Al Najma Club President Mazen Zaini, Ansar Club President Nabil Badr, Shabab Al Sahel Club President Samir Dabouq, Shabab Ghazieh Club President Ali Hassoun, and Al Hikma Club President Eli Yahchouchi, along with fellow sports journalists.

The Asian delegation, led by Sheikh Salman, will depart Lebanon tomorrow after a visit that lasted nearly a week.
