A man in Serbia has been arrested for threatening President Aleksandar Vučić. The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that police in the northern part of the country apprehended a man for threatening President Vučić, and citizen Dragan Mijatović from Sombor was detained for 48 hours. Vučić has reported that he has previously faced hundreds of aggressive threats and insults, particularly on social media, directed at himself and his family. Police have previously arrested individuals who made threats against him. In a related context, the Serbian president expressed shock on Wednesday regarding the assassination attempt on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who opposed arms supplies to Ukraine. Vučić called on the Patriarch of Serbia and bishops to pray for the health of the Slovak Prime Minister, describing him as a "brother" and one of the rare independent leaders in Europe, expressing hopes for his swift recovery.
