Houthi Claims Downing of U.S. Drone in Marib Governorate

The Houthis presented footage today, Friday, showing the downing of a U.S. drone in the Marib Governorate in the southeast of the country. They claimed responsibility for the downing of an MQ-9 drone over Marib. The spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, Yahya Saree, announced, "The U.S. drone was downed yesterday while it was conducting hostile activities in the airspace of Marib Governorate." The footage shows the Yemen air defenses downing the MQ-9 drone while it was engaged in hostile actions in the airspace of Marib on May 17, 2024.
