A Jordanian official announced today, Wednesday, the largest operation to thwart drug smuggling in several years at a border crossing with Saudi Arabia, which is linked to smuggling networks in Syria associated with Iran. The Jordanian Public Security announced the interception of 9.5 million narcotic pills at the border, stating that "members of two smuggling gangs connected to regional networks were arrested."
