The Israeli army announced that it had eliminated a leader in the "Islamic Group in Lebanon" who was active in carrying out various activities against Israel. Israeli army spokesperson for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, posted footage of the airstrike that targeted the leader of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, Musab Khalaf.

He stated: "The IDF has eliminated a responsible figure in the terrorist organization #Islamic_Group in Lebanon who worked to activate numerous terrorist activities against Israel. The IDF, through an air force aircraft, targeted and killed Musab Khalaf, a leader in the Islamic Group in Lebanon who had been activating terrorist activities."

According to Adraee, Khalaf was involved in launching attacks from Lebanese territory against Israel, particularly in the Mount Ross (Har Dov) area and other regions recently. He added: "Musab Khalaf had cooperated with Hamas in Lebanon and coordinated and executed attacks against Israel. His elimination aims to undermine the group's capabilities to carry out planned terrorist attacks against the State of Israel along the northern border."

The "Islamic Group" issued a statement mourning Musab and Bilal Khalaf, stating: "With pride and honor, the Islamic Group in Lebanon and its military wing, the 'Fajr Forces,' announce the martyrdom of the leader Musab Said Khalaf and the martyr leader Bilal Mohamed Khalaf, who ascended to martyrdom while fulfilling their jihadist duty in defense of their people in the south and in support of our people in Palestine during a treacherous Zionist airstrike that targeted them in western Bekaa on Friday afternoon."

The two leaders were from the town of Bbeen in Akkar. Musab Khalaf is the son of Sheikh Said Khalaf, one of the founders of the Islamic Group in Lebanon. He was targeted along with his cousin Bilal Khalaf.
